Jaclyn is a 2005 graduate of NC State University. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a Nutrition concentration. She also obtained her Master's of Science degree in Nutrition from Meredith College and is a Registered Dietitian.
Jaclyn grew up dancing locally at Nina's School of Dance in Durham, NC before coming to NC State and dancing all 4 years on the Dance Team. After college, she danced for one season on the NBA's Washington Wizards dance team in Washington, DC. Her favorite style of dance include jazz and pom/gameday.
Jaclyn also has extensive coaching and teaching experience, spanning over the last 15 years. While in school, she coached an all-star dance team at a local cheer gym, and after college, taught dance at Premier School of Dance in Cary, NC, focusing on jazz and hip-hop for all ages and levels.
Jaclyn is currently in her 5th year as assistant coach for the NC State Dance Team. She is passionate about cultivating a "team" environment, motivating the girls to excel and always pursue their "best self," inside and out of the dance team environment. She is excited to continue this positive work with the team.
